Wayfinding Sign Design Concept

The City of Columbia City Council was recently presented with a donation of Way-finding banner signs for Downtown Columbia at the September City Council meeting.  A presentation by representatives presented the concept and draft rendering of the banner signs which would be donated by Grow Columbia, the recently formed organization comprised of merchants and residents advocates for Downtown Columbia.

The public-private partnership was proposed as Downtown continues to witness ongoing growth and renewal. Growing interest in finding shopping. dining, boutique shops and entertainment venues has increased with dozens of new businesses opening in the last three years. The draft rendering shows the banner’s design. The pole-mounted banners were designed by West 7th Company with plans to update as Downtown businesses continue to locate and change in the historic central business district quarterly as needed.
