Administrative

The Administrative Division of the Columbia Fire Department consists of the Chief, Assistant Fire Chief-Administration and two (2) Administrative Assistants. The Administrative Division is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the department. 

 
                                              Fire Chief Ty Cobb
 

                                              Fire Chief Tyler "Ty" Cobb began his fire service career with Pulaski Fire Dept. and joined the Columbia Fire Dept. as a Firefighter/EMT in February of 1999.  He has held the positions of Firefighter (5 years), Driver (5 years) and Captain (5 years).  He was promoted to the position of Assistant Fire Chief  in January of 2014, and to Fire Chief on July 1, 2017.  Chief Cobb received an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Volunteer State Community College in 2003, a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Memphis in 2005 and a Masters of Science Degree from Columbia Southern University in 2012.  Chief Cobb is a 2017 graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer program.

                                             Ginger Adams

                                            Ginger Paul Adams became Administrative Assistant for Columbia Fire & Rescue in September 2018 after working in the City Recorder’s office for 5 years.   Born and raised in Columbia, she has 35 years of office experience including time with Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company, deputy Clerk for Maury County Clerk’s Office and insurance agent/office manager for State Farm Insurance. Ginger has a son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
