The City of Columbia is pleased to recognize Amy Lindsey as the August Employee of the Month. Amy has been employed by the City of Columbia for two years as the Administrative Secretary to the City Manager. In April, she took over duties for Executive Secretary Liz Bermudez, who was on maternity leave until August. While maintaining her regular workload, Amy prepared the monthly council agendas along with a variety of other duties. 

Putting the monthly agenda together can be challenging with deadlines and gathering agenda items from numerous departments and directors. Amy remained patient and persistent in getting the agenda completed before monthly council meetings even though she was still new to the whole process. 

Amy is a positive person with an outgoing personality and a great attitude, and that didn’t change with her added responsibilities. She greets visitors and guests to City Hall with a friendly welcome and is great with people. Amy always has a smile on her face! We offer our thanks to Amy Lindsey for her dedication to the City of Columbia and her commitment to serve the City Manager’s Office.
