Profeto Prowell



Profeto Prowell
On February 2, 1990 at 1:30am, officers responded to Nashville Highway near the Saturn Headquarters.  Officers found Profeto Prowell lying face down beside his red GMC pickup truck.  The victim had been shot.  His vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the road, headed north. Several leads have been investigated but this case remains unsolved.

Chris Heiss
On April 2, 1994, Christopher Michael Heiss was delivering a pizza when he was shot and killed in front of 1825 Paul Drive. His car was stolen by the killers, but broke down in front of the Highland Park Baptist Church, 3 blocks from the shooting.  A black Trans-Am was seen following Chris’ car.  Several leads have been investigated but this case remains unsolved.

Charles Crafton
On April 3, 2006, officers responded to a man lying in the road near 9th & Woodland Street. Crafton was found at the intersection with several injuries, but still conscious.  He was transported to the hospital where he died 3 days later.  A short time after discovering Crafton in the road, his vehicle was found abandoned at 308 E. 10th Street.  It is believed that he was thrown from his vehicle into the street. This case remains unsolved.

Antonio A. Torres

On June 25, 2000, officers responded to American Mobile Village and Burt Drive.  A Hispanic male, identified as Antonio Torres had been stabbed several times.  Officers tried to get information from Torres but he was unable to speak.  Torres lived at #111 American Mobile Village and responded to that residence.  Upon entering, officers found the home covered in blood, no other victims inside. Torres died 2 days later at the hospital.  Leads have been developed but the case is remains unsolved.
