Down Town Parking Enforcement

The Columbia Police Department’s downtown parking enforcement unit consist of two part time parking enforcement officers charged with the responsibility of enforcing both state law and city ordinance regulating parking in the downtown area.  

Columbia’s downtown parking consists of timed parking as well as permit and leased parking spaces. Those interested in permit or leased parking permits should contact the Columbia Engineering Department. The City of Columbia provides all-day paid parking in a parking lot adjacent to the city’s parking garage located at the back of City Hall with convenient breezeway access to shopping and business on the square.
