Visit Columbia
The City of Columbia established a Tourism Department in 2017 branded as Visit Columbia. It is funded through the City's hotel/motel tax. Visit Columbia is responsible for marketing the City to tourists by inspiring travel to Columbia. The program of work for the Tourism Department includes product development, branding, marketing, PR, and advertising. Find more information on Columbia tourism, please go to the Visit Columbia TN website.
Columbia Welcome Center
We want your first stop when you arrive in Columbia, aka 'Muletown' to be the Columbia Welcome Center. You'll be greeted by friendly staff to help you plan your visit and answer questions. The Welcome Center is located in the heart of downtown in one of the oldest buildings in the historic district dating back to 1829.
This quaint piece of history has some great stories to tell! We invite you to linger and take in the history and culture such as a local art exhibit wall, a history timeline, and the vintage neon Polk Motel sign that is incorporated into the design of the building. Additionally, the welcome center offers important visitor amenities, including a wide array of printed brochures and guides for tourist, merchandise, and souvenirs. Come see us!
