Beer Board

The Beer Board is responsible for the review of all establishments selling beer on and/or off premises and for wholesale distributors with in the City of Columbia.

  • Board members must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Board members are compensated $25.00 per meeting attended during the calendar year. 
  • Responsible for the review of all establishments selling beer on and/or off premises and for wholesale distributors with in the city of Columbia.  
  • Holds authority to award, deny, suspend or revoke any beer permit as outlined in Columbia City Beer Ordinances. 
  • Reviews all new beer permit applications as well as review any establishment and/or responsible party that have been brought forth before the board for review of any ordinance violations.
    Composed of five (5) residents of the City of Columbia appointed by the city mayor and approved by the city council.
Meets 2nd Wednesday each month at 9:00 A.M. at Columbia Police Department in Conference Room 200 (second floor), 707 North Main Street, Columbia, TN

Applications should be returned to the City Recorder's Office at City Hall, 700 North Garden Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Business Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please contact the City Recorder's Office with permit or application questions at (931) 560-1520.
