CONSIDER A CAREER IN FIRE SAFETY
Requirements: High school
diploma or GED, 18 years of age, Class D Driver’s License and must possess
Tennessee E.M.T. or National Board E.M.T. certification by time of hire. Must possess and maintain TN E.M.T. license
as condition of continued employment. Drug screen, physical examination, and
background check will be required prior to employment.

APPLY TO BECOME A FIREFIGHTER
Applications for Firefighters are taken online during
the month of February each year. Once the application has been submitted you will be
contacted by email. Process: Successful completion of an ability test will
be required to qualify the applicant to take a written examination. Civil Service examination date and time will
be announced to qualified applicants by email after closing date. All qualified applicants will receive
consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or
